Voice Lessons
Voice Lessons
I am a UCLA and USC alumnus with a Bachelors and Masters degree in Vocal Performance and am on Faculty at USC's School of Dramatic Arts to teach voice lessons. As a voice teacher in Los Angeles, I use my knowledge and professional performance experience, as an opera singer, to help my students learn to sing with as much ease as possible while refining the instrument for the classical and musical theater repertoire.
Students will gain strength in their head and their mixed voices, by utilizing proper breath pressure and placement. Students will learn to properly use their chest voice to create a balanced mixed voice and belt that is not over-compressed. I not only focus on technique, but also on diction, artistry, performance practice, and audition prep.
My lessons are typically split between technical exercises and detailed work on the song of the student's choice. My philosophy is to use the Classical technique, as a foundation to help singers find sustainability and clarity in their sound regardless of what music they sing.
All lessons are private, one-on-one sessions. It is best for teenagers and older, and those serious about improving their voice. I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and have participated in the Westminister Choir College Vocal Pedagogy Institute.
