Teaching a Voice Lesson

Voice Lessons

I am a proud alumnus of both UCLA and USC, holding a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Vocal Performance. Currently, I serve on the faculty at USC’s School of Dramatic Arts, where I teach private voice lessons.

As a voice teacher based in Los Angeles, I draw on both my academic training and my professional experience as an opera singer to help students build healthy, sustainable vocal technique. My teaching focuses on developing ease and freedom in the voice while refining the instrument for classical and musical theater repertoire.

Students will strengthen their head and mix voices by learning to apply proper breath pressure and vocal resonance. We also work on chest voice function to support a balanced mix and a healthy, resonant belt that avoids over-compression.

In addition to technique, I emphasize diction, artistry, performance practice, and audition preparation. Each lesson is typically split between technical exercises and focused work on repertoire selected by the student. I believe in using classical technique as a strong foundation that supports vocal clarity and stamina across all musical styles.

All sessions are private and one-on-one, best suited for teens and adults who are serious about developing their voice.

I am a member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing and have completed advanced training through the Westminster Choir College Vocal Pedagogy Institute and the New York Voice Teacher Training program.
